We Were Warned. We Didn’t Listen

MONDAY 6-16-08…Here in California, our Republican governor signed Senate Bill 777 into law which mandates that our schools provide only positive attributes about homosexuality. Opponents of that bill argued that it would open the door to indoctrinating students into the homosexual lifestyle.

Turns out, the opponents were absolutely right! The Gay-Straight Alliance Network has announced that it is partnering with an organization called Frameline in a new project called “Youth in Motion.” The purpose is to provide schools in California with free homosexual/Lesbian movies that can be shown in classrooms or as part of Gay-Straight Alliance activities.

According to Frameline’s website, its mission is “To strengthen the diverse lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender community and further its visibility by supporting and promoting a broad array of cultural representations and artistic expression in film, video and other media arts. “

One film “After school Delight” is about a 12 year old girl scout and her best friend, Angie, spending an afternoon getting into and avoiding trouble, and ending up “discovering some of life’s delights.”

What I find abhorrent in all this is that our laws here in California have made it illegal to exhibit the Ten Commandments, or have prayers at graduation ceremonies, say the Pledge of Allegiance (and the words “under God”) but it is now okay to show films in our taxpayer supported schools that support alternative lifestyles.

It’s also interesting that people want to ban military recruiters from these very same schools that they’re trying to force admittance of these Gay/Lesbian/Bisexual/Transgender recruiters. What about groups to promote abstinence, or groups to promote monogamy in marriage. What about groups to promote marriage as being a covenant between a man and a woman–and God?

The opponents of Senate Bill 777 were absolutely right. It certainly has opened the door to homosexual indoctrination in our public schools.

  1. I have to agree with you. I think we should have monogamy in marriage. I think that once you have found your partner for life, there shouldn’t be any divorce. Right now, we have marriages between men and women for tax purposes only. We have divorces over 50% of the marriages. We have kids who have different dads and moms but were all married, yes, we do need monogamy in marriage.
I think it is a sin to not let anyone pray in their religious beliefs. I know that I’m a Christian and I can sit in class or on the job or anywhere I feel the need to pray. In my religion, we pray quietly to ourselves, afterall it is between me and God.
I do think that the armed forces are on most schools and they do recruit. We need more kids to go off and get killed for Weapons of Mass Destruction. Who knows when one of those lunatics will get a nuclear bomb and send it our way. So we need to have men and women to aggressivly attack a country and take it over. I have not seen any recruiters for the Gay, Lesbian and Transgender people on campus. I will look for them. I would sure like to talk about the way they live.

  2. I’m sure you would!!
